PHONE SERVICE AT JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

Joshua Tree National Park has been having trouble with phones since the beginning of August. Phones at the Oasis of Mara Visitor Center and the 29 Palms Headquarters area cannot receive incoming calls from the public. The park apologizes for this inconvenience and asked visitors to contact the Joshua Tree Visitor Center at 760-366-1855 if they have questions or need assistance. Information can also be obtained from the Joshua Tree website at www.nps.gov/jotr. The Black Rock Education Office is also unable to receive calls. Teachers and school groups wanting to schedule programs for the coming year are asked to contact Education Specialist Lorna Lange at [email protected] to inquire about educational offering. To view programs, teachers are encouraged to visit the park’s website. The park appreciates the patience of the public as it works with Verizon to correct this problem. Please check the park’s website for updates.
