The Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms High School football season opens tonight with games at home. The Yucca Valley Trojans football team plays a non-conference game against the Saints from Xavier Prep at 7 p.m. at Trojan Field. The Twentynine Palms Wildcat football team hosts the Cathedral City Lions in a scrimmage at Tom Nichol Field, also at 7 p.m. The Joshua Springs Lightning football team’s game against Discovery Prep tomorrow has been cancelled.
