ONE ARRESTED, TWO SOUGHT IN YUCCA VALLEY WALMART BURGLARY

A man was arrested in Yucca Valley Tuesday night, accused of helping to two other men steal merchandise from Walmart. According to a Sheriff’s report, a witness saw two men carrying electronics run out of Walmart’s emergency exit about 10 p.m., and get into a white van. The witness followed the van as it drove toward Yucca Trail and Balsa Avenue, where two men got out and ran into the desert. The van sped off. A deputy contacted Matthew Kuck, 35, running in the desert, and found nearby a security system and a vacuum. Kuck allegedly told the deputy he was walking in the parking lot when two men offered him food and to give him a place to stay if he helped them steal items from Walmart. Matthew Kuck was arrested for investigation of conspiracy to commit a crime, booked at West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000. A records search shows that Kuck is wanted in Georgia, accused of burglary.
