The High Desert Pregnancy Clinic’s biggest fundraiser of the year, “A Night for Life Under the Stars,” will feature a Hollywood actor as the guest speaker. Rusty Joiner starred in the 2015 film “Voiceless,” in which he takes a stand against an abortion clinic across the street from his church. Joiner will share his story about starting churches in California and his experiences. The Luminators will provide live music. The semi-formal event on September 30 starts at 6:30 p.m. and will also include hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and a silent auction, all under the stars in Sky Harbor in Yucca Valley.
