MORONGO VALLEY MAN ATTACKS A WOMAN WITH A ROCK

A Morongo Valley man was arrested Saturday after he tried to attack a woman with a rock. According to a Sheriff’s report, Bobbie Lowery, 33, was arguing with a woman in the 51800 block of Panorama Drive about 1 p.m. The woman told deputies that Lowery threw her to the ground, causing her to hit her head. She said Lowery then got on top of the woman, grabbed a large rock and raised it to hit her in the head. A man ran to the woman’s aid, and deputies say Lowery then hit him with the rock. Both victims were injured during the attack. Lowery then ran to his trailer on the property where he was contacted by deputies. After an investigation, Bobbie Lowery was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
