MORONGO VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO SHOOT NEIGHBOR WITH ARROWS

A Morongo Valley man was arrested Tuesday, accused of threatening to shoot his neighbors with arrows. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 7600 block of Jemez Trail in Yucca Valley about 3:45 p.m. The victim told deputies that he had started his pick-up truck to warm it up when Damon Gardner, 48, came out about 3:45 p.m. and said he would shoot the man, his daughter, and the truck full of arrows if he didn’t quiet the truck. The victim was in the process of moving and was afraid that Gardner would vandalize the house while he was away. After an investigation, deputies found multiple firearms and cross bows located inside the house. Damon Gardner was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and was released on $50,000 bail bond.
