MORONGO VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF FALSE IMPRISONMENT

A Morongo Valley man was arrested Tuesday after he took the keys to a woman’s car and refused to let her leave. About 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the 57600 block of Yucca Trail in Yucca Valley. The caller said that Daniel Tomlinson, 42, was arguing with a woman because he did not want her to leave the location. Tomlinson allegedly took the keys to the vehicle out of the ignition and put them in his pocket. The woman told deputies she felt trapped and was afraid that Tomlinson would not give her back the keys. Daniel Tomlinson was arrested for investigation of false imprisonment, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
