MORONGO VALLEY CSD TO DISCUSS DECLARING A “HATE-FREE” ZONE

The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors will discuss a resolution at tonight’s regularly-scheduled meeting to join the hate-free Morongo Basin movement. The resolution would declare Morongo Valley a hate-free zone, calling for residents and visitors to treat each other with dignity, respect, and civility. At tonight’s meeting, the Morongo Valley CSD will review a number of topics; including granting an alcohol permit for an upcoming Democrats of the Morongo Basin event, the issuing of burn permits to residents of Morongo Valley, and receiving an update from the District’s ADA-compliance ad hoc committee. The board will also review titles and positions on the District Board and update Morongo Valley CSD and Fire Department policies. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. in the Covington Park Community Building, 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
