The Morongo Valley CSD Board meets tonight. Mike Lipsitz said the board will issue a proclamation, consider use requests, and take nominees for an award, with punch and cookies beforehandâŚ
At tonightâs regular 7 p.m. meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District, the board is expected to adopt a proclamation for National Fire Prevention Week beginning October 9, review the districtâs conflict of interest policy, and consider two requests for use of district facilities including beer sales under appropriate permits (those requests coming from Firefighters Local 5028 and the Fiesta Days Committee). Also tonight, the board will consider the lifetime achievement award and ask for nominees. Those items and others, plus committee reports take place in the community buildingâs multipurpose room on the edge of Morongo Valleyâs Covington Park. Just prior to tonightâs meeting at 6:15 p.m., the community is invited to a cookies and punch reception in the newly remodeled meeting room at the Community Center. The new, smaller room is available for meetings. Call Roxanne at 760-363-6454 for more information.
