The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education will begin its meeting at 7 p.m. tonight by recognizing six students from area schools in honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month. Later, the board will hear an update on contract negotiations with the Morongo Teacher’s Association, and call for bids related to pupil transportation services. Finally, the board will discuss plans already in place for the ongoing modernization and expansion of Oasis Elementary School. The meeting will be held at Twentynine Palms Junior High School on Utah Trail.
