MORONGO BASIN MAC TO HEAR FROM HI-DESERT MEDICAL CENTER TONIGHT

The Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council will hold a special meeting 6:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, January 18. After swearing in Dawn Johnson to fill the vacant seat for Landers, the advisory council will hear public safety reports from fire and law enforcement agencies. Next up is a presentation by Hi-Desert Medical Center on the hospital’s accomplishments since its affiliation with Tenet and future plans for the hospital. The MAC will also be asked to approve a resolution recommending that the board of supervisors hold a special election to increase road maintenance fees locally. The meeting will be held in the Joshua Tree Community Center.
