MORONGO BASIN MAC TALKS ABOUT RURAL BROADBAND TONIGHT

Screenagers with connectivity problems, listen up; the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council understands. Here with the story is reporter David Haldane…
Do you curse the night for lack of a stable Internet signal in the middle of the desert? Well, help may be on the way in the person of Joshua Tree resident Blake Baxter. He’ll be making a presentation at tonight’s meeting of the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council entitled “The Challenges of Rural Broadband.” In fact, the talk was on the agenda of last month’s MAC meeting but got bounced for lack of time. If you’re used to a slow Internet, of course, such delays probably feel like business as usual. Tonight’s second try gets underway 6:30 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community Center on Sunburst Avenue.
