MOJAVE DESERT LAND TRUST AND GIVING TOUR OF PATTON CAMP

The Mojave Desert Land Trust will offer free guided tours of General George Patton’s World War II training areas. Participants will learn about how the U.S. Army and Air Corps trained to live and fight in the desert at Camp Iron Mountain, east of Twentynine Palms. Snacks will be provided. Seats are limited. To reserve your spot, go to mdlt.org. The tours will leave the land trust’s headquarters in Joshua Tree at 9 a.m. October 26 and return between 2 and 3 p.m. The tour will be offered again November 15.
