MBTA REDUCES SERVICES, WAIVES CHARGES

The directive issued by Governor Newson, ordering all Californians to stay home has caused a decline in ridership and resources which has required MBTA, our local public bus system, to make tough decisions to reduce some service levels. Beginning today (Friday March 19), the Route 12 Palm Springs and Route 15 Marine base to Palms Springs has been suspended until further notice. Further service adjustments may be necessary. In addition to the service reduction, staff will be implementing a 14 day fareless system (no fare will be collected). This will address social distancing.
