MARINES AND THE BLM TO HOLD A MEETING SATURDAY ON JOHNSON VALLEY USE

The Marine Corps and the Bureau of Land Management will hold an informational meeting Saturday, April 14, about the Marines’ large-scale exercise in the Johnson Valley Shared Use Area. The meeting will include information about the temporary land closures and public safety. The Johnson Valley Shared Use Area will be temporarily closed to the public August 1 through 30 while the Marine Corps conducts military training exercises. The adjacent Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area will remain open to the public. The event will be held 10 a.m. at the Lucerne Valley Community Center, 33187 Highway 247, in Lucerne Valley.
