MAN KILLED FOLLOWING MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN TWENTYNINE PALMS FRIDAY NIGHT

A motorcyclist was killed late Friday night when he crashed into the back of an SUV in Twentynine Palms. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the motorcyclist—who has not yet been identified—was riding his 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Adobe Road about 11:30 p.m. when he crashed into the rear of a 2007 Toyota Sequoia, also traveling southbound on Adobe Road near the intersection of Valle Vista, right outside the main gate to the base. The force of the impact threw the man off his motorcycle. Responding paramedics took him to the Naval Hospital on board the Marine Corps Combat Center. Despite life-saving measures, he died as a result of his injuries.
