A man is dead following a shooting in Yucca Mesa early this morning. According to Sheriff’s Homicide Sergeant Greg Myler, deputies were called to the 57700 block of Belmont Street at 12:52 a.m. for shots fired, and a 29-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. Myler said the man’s roommates are being questioned by homicide detectives. The coroner’s office has not released the victim’s identity yet.
