A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly destroyed his house during a fight with his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, Pernell Jones, 24, became angry over the balance in the couple’s account at the bank. The report states that when Jones returned home, he broke down the front door, trashed the house, and took his wife’s cell phone. After an investigation, Pernell Jones was arrested for felony spouse abuse. Jones was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
