Local high school choirs from Twentynine Palms High School and Yucca Valley High School performed last week in Twentynine Palms under the direction of Michael Mayes. Thursday, March 3, the combined choir will perform at Yucca Valley High School under the direction of Bill Barrett. The concert will feature the Yucca Valley High School Concert Choir, Yucca Valley High School Select Choir, Yucca Valley High School Jazz Ensemble, and Yucca Valley High School Symphonic Band. They will be joined by the Twentynine Palms High School select choir and symphonic band who will combine with for several selections. The doors open to the high school gymnasium at 6:15 and the concert begins at 7 p.m. Admission is a $5 donation per person at the door. The Yucca Valley High School Music Boosters will host a concession stand and all proceeds from the concert will benefit the Music Department at Yucca Valley High School.
