LOCAL BEEKEEPERS MEET TOMORROW

High Desert Beekeepers Association meets Saturday, March 26 at 2pm at the Nourishing Tree in Joshua Tree. Local beekeeper Michael Shamhart will give a presentation on capturing wild swarms of bees and removing them to a hive. The talk will focus on learning to work with bees in a more natural way as opposed to using chemicals to destroy unwanted bees or the pests that sometimes live in their hives. There are several beekeepers in the community who are available to help with capturing and removing unwanted bees. You do not have to be a beekeeper to attend; just have an interest in bees. The meeting is free with donations accepted.
