“LIVING ON THE DESERT’S EDGE” LECTURE TOMORROW IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

The Twentynine Palms Historical Society’s Second Friday Lecture Series continues on Friday, April 10, starting at 7:00 p.m. This lecture’s topic is about “Living on the Desert’s Edge,” where biologist and weekly columnist Jim Cornett will talk about his 12 years of experience in the desert and his many wildlife encounters. Cornett lives at the edge of a desert wilderness which means anything is possible. Intimate encounters with wildlife around his home are almost daily events with some creatures even finding their way inside. From bighorn sheep to rattlesnakes, from humorous to tragic, all will be shared with the audience. This lecture takes place at the Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms. Admission is $5. There will also be an optional dinner with the speaker at 5:00 p.m. at the 29 Palms Inn. For more information, or to RSVP for the dinner, call 760-367-5535.
