LEARN ABOUT TIME BANKING WITH TRANSITION JOSHUA TREE

We’ve all heard the expression “time equals money.” The folks at Transition Joshua Tree are putting a new spin on that idea with something called a Time Bank. Assignment reporter Mike Lipsitz explains …
Time Banking is a rapidly expanding practice that Transition Joshua Tree now brings to Morongo Basin. The public is invited for lunch and a presentation entitled “Time Banking: Using Time as Money.” Attendees will learn about leveraging their personal or professional skills. In short, members offer a skill through the time bank in exchange for time credits that they can then trade for services that they need … hence, Time equals money. This event will open the Transition Joshua Tree time bank to the public.  This is a no-waste event so bring your own plate and utensils, and $5 to the Center for Healthy Generations on Sunnyslope Drive in Yucca Valley on Sunday, May 22 from noon to 2 p.m. For more information, follow the link in this story at Z1077FM.com (http://transitionjoshuatree.org/transition-101-time-bank/).
