A new lawsuit was filed on Friday, October 12 against the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District concerning the FP-5 fire tax. The lawsuit argues that the expansion of Fire Protection zone FP-5 violates the “Right to Vote on Taxes Act,” articles 8C and 8D of the California constitution. The lawsuit has a trial date set for December 19.The lawsuit was filed on the same day that a San Bernardino County judge denied an injunction to halt the expansion of Fire Protection Zone-5.
