LANDERS PAROLEE FOUND AFTER HOUSE SEARCHED

A Landers man was arrested Tuesday on a no-bail warrant and for violating his parole. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies received a tip that Jeremy Cruz, 45, was at a home in the 1500 block of Dakota Lane. When deputies arrived about 9:30 p.m., they were met at the door by Stephen Cruz who told them Jeremy Cruz was not at home, but when deputies searched the home, they found Jeremy Cruz hiding under a blanket in a closet. Jeremy Cruz, who has an extensive criminal history, was arrested for investigation of evading arrest and violating the terms of his parole, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail. Stephen Cruz was cited for obstructing a police officer.
