A Landers man was arrested Saturday, accused of stealing a rifle. According to a Sheriff’s report, Johnathan Gambel, 18, was staying at a friend’s home in the 1800 block of Acoma Trail in Landers. The gun owner noticed that the .22-caliber rifle was missing. After an investigation, Johnathan Gambel was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
