LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF THROWING A KNIFE AT A WOMAN

A Landers man was arrested Monday after he threw a knife at a woman. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 55300 block of Virginia Road in Landers about 6:30 p.m. Monday where a woman said that Terence Paxton, 51, had thrown a knife at her. While the knife missed her, she said Paxton had also held her to the ground and threatened her with the knife. Terence Paxton was still at the location when deputies arrived, and he was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
