The monthly membership meeting of the Landers Association is this Saturday, September 10, at Belfield Hall just east of the Moose Lodge on Reche Road in Landers. The 3 p.m. business meeting will follow an hour of fellowship and potluck starting at 2 p.m. On the agenda is a brief presentation on a plan to bring fiber optic Internet to Landers. There will also be some neighborhood watch organizing and selection of block captains; updates on the huge October 1 rummage sale and Orchid Festival; information on the Homestead Valley community plan, a raffle, and more. If you plan to attend the potluck please bring a dish to share or a few dollars to contribute. Membership is not required to attend. For more information, call 760-449-4048.
