KEYS VIEW ROAD CLOSED FOR SEARCH AND RESCUE

Joshua Tree National Park has closed Keys’ View Road today until further notice due to a search and rescue operation inside the park. Michael Rodriguez, 57, left his home in Azusa June 20 and hasn’t been seen since then. The missing man’s blue Hyundai Elantra was seen on surveillance video entering the park, and the car was located Thursday, June 29, in the Juniper Flats area of Joshua Tree National Park. Searchers are using Key’s View Road to land helicopters involved in the search. Rodriguez is 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighs about 195 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Sheriff’s officials are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Riverside Sheriff’s investigators at 760-836-3215.
