The National Junior Tennis and Learning course starts June 21, at Jacobs Park, in Yucca Valley. Novice or intermediate boys and girls, ages 8 to17 may enroll. Sign up on the Morongo Basin Tennis Association site or by calling 760-365-3851. The 24 hours of instruction are from June 21 through July 28; Tuesdays through Thursdays, 8 to 10 a.m. The program fee is only $10 per player and includes a T-shirt, certificate of participation, and the opportunity to participate in various activities and win awards. Tennis racquets are available on loan, if needed. Morongo Basin Tennis Association President Bill Green said, “NJTL provides an environment in which juniors can gain tennis experience and personal growth.”
