A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Friday after she was found driving a stolen car. According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies were called to the 61800 block of Terrace Drive in Joshua Tree about 8:45 a.m. Friday for a report of a stolen vehicle. The keys to a 2008 Dodge Charger were missing and the car had been stolen from the driveway. Shortly afterward, deputies saw the Charger traveling southbound on Sunfair Road and stopped the car. Driving the car was Vanna Hightower, 27. Vanna Hightower was arrested for investigation of grand theft auto, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $50,000. The car was returned to its owner without any damage.
