A Joshua Tree man was arrested Wednesday, accused of dealing methamphetamine. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7600 block of Mariquita Road in Landers about 9:40 a.m. due to a fight involving four to five people. When deputies arrived, they found Shawn Thayer, 39, who had a no-bail warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his probation. Thayer had a backpack, and in the backpack deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Shawn Thayer was arrested for investigation of possession of methamphetamine for sales and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
