A Joshua Tree man was arrested Sunday following a search warrant at his home. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies went to the home of Rene Villegas, 32, in the 6500 block of Sunset Road about 11:05 a.m. During the search, deputies found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, fraudulent and blank checks, and mail that did not belong to Villegas. Rene Villegas was arrested for investigation of possession of methamphetamine for sales and possession of fraudulent checks, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
