JOSHUA TREE MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING FROM CONVENIENCE STORE

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Tuesday after he ate multiple packages of food at a convenience store without paying for them. According to a Sheriff’s report, Bruce Johnson, 47, was at the 7-11 on the corner of Adobe Road and Ocotillo about 9 p.m. After Johnson opened and ate several packages of food without having any money to pay for them, employees asked him to leave multiple times before they finally called deputies. Deputies determined that Bruce Johnson was on parole and arrested him for investigation of burglary, booked him into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
