The 6th annual Joshua Tree Gay Pride Festival is taking place today, June 14th, behind Coyote Corner at Highway 62 and Park Boulevard. It runs from 11 am to 11 pm. The cost is fee, with a suggested donation of $5. It’s a hometown community festival with local eateries, stage with live entertainment, DJ, musicians, artists, vendors, games for the kids, beverage garden for the adults and more. The theme of the festival this year is ‘It’s Getting Better!,’ a take on the national campaign ‘It Gets Better Project’ that helps LGBT youth against bullying.
