JOSHUA BASIN WATER DISTRICT BOARD AND CITIZENS ADVISORS MEET TONIGHT

Tonight in Joshua Tree, the Joshua Basin Water District Board of Directors meets in open session at 7:00 at District offices on Chollita Road. The District’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee will meet concurrently. Topping tonight’s action agenda, the board will explore placing a measure on the November 2013 or 2014 general election ballot asking voters to approve a water replenishment assessment. That decision will likely be referred to the Citizen’s Advisory Committee, if it is to move forward at all. In other business, directors will consider approving the write-off and appropriate disposal of $34,500 of surplus inventory. Also tonight, the board will receive a presentation, and consider the next steps on the recently completed rate and fee study. Those actions and others will precede staff and director’s reports as well as a report from Conservation Coordinator Deb Bollinger and a report on changes to the Strategic Plan.
