The Homestead Valley Community Council, the HVCC, will meet this Monday. Speakers will talk about living with industrial solar. Spokesperson Betty Munson said the hot topic is the Solar One project now under review by the County—200 acres on private property just across Camp Rock Road from Lone Valley Solar. She said the story of the Lone Valley destruction of the desert is a warning for all who live here and reminded residents that the comment period on Solar One ends shortly. The HVCC meeting starts at 3:00 p.m. this Monday, June 15, at the Johnson Valley Community Center, 50567 Quailbush Rd., 1 3/4 miles up Larrea Road from Hwy 247.
