HISTORY-MAKING RUN ENDS FOR 29 PALMS HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Twentynine Palms girls’ varsity basketball team ended its season at home on Saturday night to Cantwell-Sacred Heart team by the score of 57 to 48. The team this year reached the semifinals for the first time since 1997. They played their hearts out Saturday night and came up just a little bit short. They had an outstanding year, winning 22 games and only losing 8, as well as going undefeated in league at 12 and 0. The seniors on the team, Taylor Tuivaiti, Courtney Stanford, and Adriann Miller have never lost a league game during their outstanding careers. The coaching staff of coach Barraza and coach Stanford want to thank all who attended the game and gave such great support cheering the girls on, especially the student section. Leading scorers on the night were sophomore Lindsey Scamman with 22 points and Tatiyanna Mackall with 14 points.
