After two away meets, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat swim teams hosted the Eagles of Desert Hot Springs at home April 6, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams winning handily. The Ladycats won 130-36, thanks to a sweep of first, second and third place in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay. The girls swept first, second, and third place in several individual races as well: the 200 free, 50 free, 500 free, and the 100 backstroke. The Ladycats placed first and second in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke.
The boys’ swim team won 109 to 51, thanks to first and third place wins in the 200 medley relay, 100 free, 200 free relay, and 100 backstroke. The boys also took first place in the 200 free, 200 individual medley, and 400 free relay. And the Wildcats won first and second in the 50 free, 100 butterfly, and 100 breast stroke.
