The Twentynine Palms varsity boys’ tennis team traveled to Shadow Hills High School to face the Knights on Monday, March 21. The Wildcats suffered a 12-6 loss. Coach Bill Shy said In singles play Jon Lanza led the cats by sweeping all three sets bringing his overall record to 12-0 on the year. The doubles were led by Brett Hope and Raul Hernandez winning two sets and Nathan Thomas and Larry Martinez winning one set giving Larry his first varsity win as a wildcat.
In high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School and Twentynine Palms High School golf teams will play each other in Yucca Valley. Tee off is at 2:45 p.m.
Also tomorrow, the Yucca Valley Trojan track team will compete against Big Bear and Desert Mirage High Schools at home. The meet begins at 3:15.
