The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team lost a 46-34 contest last night to Sultana High School in Trojan Gym last night. Coach Jess Geeson said the Lady Trojans fell behind 15-5 in the first quarter and could never find a consistent rhythm to close the gap closer than eight points the rest of the game. Sophomore Kloee Scaccionoce scored a team high nine points, while sophomore Savannah Beasley and senior Annika Dendekker each added eight points. With the loss, the Yucca girls record falls to 7-3 on the season.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball team will host Hemet at home at 6 p.m.
