HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

The Twentynine Palms High School Swim Team traveled to Desert Mirage High School yesterday (Wednesday, March 21) with the Wildcats winning 125 to 45 for the girls, and 110 to 59 for the boys. Coaches Michelle Minatrea-Teo and Irene are very proud of the swimmers and their 3-0 start to the swim season.

ARIANA HALL SWIMMING THE 200 INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY

The girls’ 200 Medley Relay team of Taylor Scamman, Jacqueline Ford, Kaleigh Abrams and Lindsey Scamman swam a CIF consideration time of 2:11.

Taylor Scamman swam a CIF consideration time in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:39.

Lindsey Scamman bettered her CIF consideration time in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:06.31 and in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:18.59.

In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School softball team will host Coachella Valley High School at home. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.

The Trojan golf team will travel away to Thermal to play Desert Mirage High School; tee-off is at 3 p.m.

Also today, the Twentynine Palms High School baseball and softball teams will host Rancho Mirage High School at home. Both games start at 3:15 p.m.
