In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ soccer played a home game versus Desert Hot Springs yesterday. Varsity lost 7 to 1, junior varsity lost 2 to 0.
Varsity coach Coach Jorge Rodriguez said, “Sophomore Alan Campos scored for us tonight. We held them to two goals at half time, but they broke through our defense in the second half and scored five more goals. We look forward to honoring our seniors this Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Trojan field.”
Junior varsity Coach Adan Mendoza said. “JV saw a very close game and it could have gone either way. Our JV Trojans played very well, but we could not score a goal today.”
