The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team opened the Desert Christian Holiday Classic tournament with a 65-22 win over the Indio Rajahs last night in Indio. Coach Jess Geeson said with this sixth consecutive victory, they went to 7-3 on the season with a second round tournament game today against Palm Springs High School. Tipoff is at noon at Desert Christian High School.
The Lady Trojans, who led 34-11 at halftime, were led by freshman Sara Mills who scored a game high 18 points. Senior Savannah Beasley netted 17 points while fellow seniors Kiley Pitts and Kloee Scaccianoce added 10 points each in the win.
