Yucca Valley High School Tennis standout Katie Brattain played a number 1 seed girl from Wood Christian School in CIF Girls Individual Sections Monday. The match was played at Andulka Park Tennis Center in Riverside. Coach Cindy Miller said Brattain did her best and battled, finally losing the first set 0-6, with three of those points at deuces multiple times. In the second set, she lost 0-6. This set went to only two deuces and each set had long rallies.
