The YVHS tennis team lost to Rancho Mirage Monday 4-14. Coach Cindy Miller said In Singles Katie Brattain went 2-6, 4-6, 6-2. In doubles Dawn Rich and April Bratcher 6-2, 4-6, 6-3; Kloee Sacclanoce and Savannah Beasley 0-6, 1-6, 6-2.

The TPHS Ladycats tennis team traveled to Desert Mirage on Monday to face the rams. The Ladycats routed the rams 16-2. Coach William Shay said. In singles action, the lady cats were led by Lexi Wade and Alicia Gilchrest sweeping all three of their sets and newcomer Karissa Slonka winning 2 of her sets. In doubles action, the wildcats were led by the teams of Kyla Limon/Shadia Sanchez and Sherolyn Alconaba/Danny Morrissey sweeping all three of their sets while Sadie Brown/Samantha Crippen won two of their sets. 

In high school sports tomorrow, the Joshua Springs Christian School Lightning volleyball team will host Bloomington Christian School at home. The match starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Yucca valley Girls Varsity Tennis Team beat Big Bear yesterday 12-6. In Singles: Katie Brattain 6-0, 6-0, 6-0; Carrie Scofield 6-0, 6-0, 6-1; Ashely Heveron 2-6, 0-6; Debra Simpson 6-2; In Doubles Dawn Rich and April Bratcher 4-6, 6-0, 6-0; Kloee Scacclanoce and Savannah Bealey 4-6, 6-0,6-0; McKenzie Monical and Alisha Tavares 0-6, 4-6, 6-3. The team is now 3-1 and is in 2nd place.
