The Hi-Desert Water District board of directors has cancelled its regular meeting set for Wednesday and has scheduled a special meeting for 8 a.m. Monday, September 24. Among the items on the agenda; the board will see an early list of approved contractors to connect residents to the sewer line next year, approve the purchase of two pick up trucks, award a contract for $2.6 million for the next part of the sewer project, and approve contract changes for the pipeline bid and native plant relocation. Lastly, the board will hear a presentation on the district’s financial status for the past month and past fiscal year. The meeting will be held in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
