Whooping cough is on the rise in California. To combat the outbreak, new legislation requires that all students entering grades 7 through 12 during the 2012-13 school year show proof of having received the whooping cough booster, or (T-DaP). Just in time for back-to-school, Hi-Desert Medical Center’s Family Health Clinic in Twentynine Palms is offering free T-DaP boosters to eligible students up to age 18. The clinic will be at the Twentynine Palms Family Health Clinic at 72724 Twentynine Palms Hwy, suite 103, Saturday, August 11, from 8 to 1. Call 760-367-5906 for more information. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; appointments are not necessary.
