Hi-Desert Medical Center recently received a 2016 Performance Excellence Award by the Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes. The award is for exemplary work in reducing hospital-acquired conditions. The Medical Center was recognized for its success in preventing falls, pressure ulcers and three other hospital-acquired infections, including MRSA, in the critical care unit and in the hospital as a whole. Hi-Desert Medical Center CEO Karen Faulis said, “Reducing and preventing hospital-acquired conditions has been and will continue to be a major focus of (their) clinical team.”
