HELP NEEDED FOR FAMILY OF STRICKEN TWENTYNINE PALMS TODDLER

A Twentynine Palms couple is stuck between a rock and hard place. The rock is a brain tumor that almost killed their young son. The hard place is the year they’ve spent unable to bring him home. Reporter David Haldane has the story…
The first thing they noticed was the dizziness. Then little Isaiah started throwing up and falling over. A visit to the doctor confirmed the worst; their one-year-old son had an aggressive brain tumor rapidly snuffing out his young life.
The doctors at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital didn’t think he would survive the operation that removed it. But two months later, Isaiah woke up and today, at two, is fighting every day to come home.
The problem is that he can’t. That’s because his parents – Justin Surs and Christine Curington of Twentynine Palms – can’t qualify to care for him without a three-month course. And, oh yes, they must live within fifty miles of the hospital, nearly two hours away.
So, the unemployed couple started a Go-Fund-Me campaign to raise enough money to move. And how do they feel after a year’s separation from their beloved, but sickly, young son?
“It’s hard. I don’t want to waste any more time not spending it with him. Honestly, it’s destroying me.”
