If you’re a homeless veteran, help may be close. The U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, partnering with Loma Linda Healthcare Systems and Joshua Tree VFW Post 7264, will hold a Homeless Veterans Outreach event offering counseling, behavioral services and various other support services aimed at helping homeless veterans get back on their feet. It all happens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the VFW post headquarters, 6402 Veterans Way in Joshua Tree. For more information, call 760-366-2717.
